Trust & security
Your DNA and your family’s memory, protected.
You’re trusting us with two of the most personal things you have: your genetic data and the memory of your family. Here is exactly how we protect both — at the data layer and as a matter of principle.
How we protect your data
Engineered so your data can’t leak
These aren’t promises bolted on after the fact. They’re how the system is built.
Per-tenant isolation
Your DNA, your matches, and your family data live in your account alone. Tenants are isolated at the data layer — one customer can never see, query, or be matched into another customer’s private data.
No raw PII leaves our perimeter
Your raw DNA file and the personal details of living relatives never go to a third-party AI cloud. A PII-egress diode strips identifying data before any text leaves our systems for processing. The cloud sees structure, never your chip.
No-fabrication citation guarantee
Every factual claim in your narrative is sourced to a real record, DNA match, or ancient-DNA sample — or it is dropped. We do not generate plausible-sounding history. If we can’t cite it, you won’t read it.
You stay in control
Your DNA chip and the details of living persons are private to you. You can export or delete your data at any time, and deletion is real deletion — see our privacy policy.
The citation guarantee
Sourced or dropped — never invented
Most ancestry tools reward confident storytelling. A good story that isn’t true is worse than no story at all — a wrong line can erase the people who were actually there.
Our narrative engine works under a hard constraint: every factual sentence must carry a citation to a specific record, DNA match, or ancient-DNA sample. If a claim can’t be sourced, it is removed before you ever see it. That is the difference between a story about your family and a story we made up that happens to be about your family.
Dignity commitments
How we treat Holocaust and victim records
Some of the records that tell your family’s story document people who died in tragedy. They are not data points and they are not a growth lever. We hold them to a separate, non-negotiable standard.
In memory of the six million
- Holocaust and Yad Vashem records are never put behind a paywall — not now, not ever.
- Victim records are never used in advertising or as marketing imagery.
- Your data and these records are never used to train AI models.
- Every memorial record is watermarked and linked back to its source archive.
- We never auto-declare “your relative was a victim.” Sensitive findings are surfaced with care and context, not as a shock.
A memorial record is shown to honor a life, never to upsell a subscription. There is no blur-to-unlock on a victim’s record anywhere in this product, by design.

Trust is the product
If we ever broke one of these commitments, we wouldn’t deserve your DNA or your family’s memory. So we built the product so we can’t.
